Das Tumorzentrum Freiburg - CCCF ist eine Einrichtung des Universitätsklinikums Freiburg und versteht sich als Koordinationsstelle für alle Aktivitäten am Universitätsklinikum, die sich mit Onkologie befassen.

Krebspatientinnen und –patienten kommen über zentrale Ambulanzen zur Behandlung. Über ihre individuelle Therapie entscheiden interdisziplinäre Tumorkonferenzen, in denen Ärzte aller beteiligten Fachrichtungen sitzen. Das Qualitätsmanagement begleitet und überwacht alle Behandlungen.

Das Tumorzentrum Freiburg - CCCF arbeitet eng mit nationalen und internationalen Tumorzentren zusammen, ebenso mit regionalen Kliniken und Ärzten. Es fördert die Krebsforschung, indem die Grundlagen bereitgestellt werden in Form von Biobanken oder im Freiburger Krebsregister. In klinischen Studien können die Patienten neue, vielversprechende Medikamente erhalten, die noch nicht allgemein verfügbar sind.
