Jeder Mensch mit Marfan-Syndrom oder Verdacht auf ein Marfan-Syndrom oder eine andere angeborene Aortenerkrankung ist eingeladen, sich in der Sprechstunde des Centrums vorzustellen. Üblicherweise werden Patienten von Hausärzten oder von Ärzten anderer Kliniken vorgestellt, andere Menschen kommen, weil sie selber den Verdacht auf ein Marfan-Syndrom haben. Zunächst ist es das Ziel die Frage zu beantworten, ob eine Erkrankung vorliegt und um welche Erkrankung es sich handelt (nosologische Zuordnung).
Das Centrum betreut etwa 500 Menschen im Jahr mit folgenden Krankheitsbildern:
Aneurysma-Osteoarthritis-Syndrom (AOS) Cutis laxa Syndrom Ehlers-Danlos-Syndrom (vaskulärer Typ) Familiäre Ectopia lentis Kongenitale kontrakturale Arachnodaktylie (CCA) Loeys-Dietz-Syndrom Marfan-Syndrom MASS Phänotyp Mitralklappenprolaps-Syndrom (MVPS) Nicht-syndromale thorakale Aortenaneurysmen und Dissektionen (TAAD) Shprintzen-Goldberg-Syndrom (SGS) Weill-Marchesani-Syndrom (WMS)Consultation hours
